About Us & Our Canadian Maple Syrup

Canada’s first natural taste of spring.  Pure, certified organic Ontario maple syrup, produced over a wood-burning evaporator - available direct from our farm! We have been producing maple syrup here, and hosting innumerable pancake brunches and school group visits, for over 40 years! We love sharing both our product and place with you!

Exceptional maple syrup and sugar has been produced here by early Irish immigrants since at least the 1840s, and likely longer, the knowledge having been shared with early settlers by local Indigenous nations. As a mixed Indigenous-Settler family, we continue to honour the roots of this Indigenous knowledge through community and ceremony. As members of the Wolastoqiyik nation, Mahkwan Kadeek is our Wolastoqey (Maliseet) translation of ‘the place where maple syrup is made’.

Our farm is located at 254 Maple Sugar Road, in Tyendinaga Township, about 20 minutes north of the 401, between Belleville and Kingston. Our sugarbush is nestled on a sprawling limestone ridge, which means our syrup is both tasty and smooth. We are also past winners of the Grand Champion Reserve at the Royal Winter Fair! We have been certified organic for over a decade, currently through EcoCert Canada, and have always practiced sustainable forestry practices.

Our pure maple syrup has traveled the world, and is available for both pick up direct from the farm or pickup in Toronto. It is always a welcome gift for any occasion, including as wedding favours for your special day.
